What Else is New?
The Breckenridge Library received a grant from the Tocker Foundation
to digitize the Breckenridge American Microfilm housed in the Library.
The Tocker Foundation Grant and a Wal Mart grant will allow the library
to have half of the microfilm digitized. Plans are to write grants next
year to fund the rest of the digitizing. The digitization materials will be
demonstrated during the Library's 25th Anniversary Celebration in April.

***DIGITIZATION UPDATE***
The Tocker Foundation has given the Breckenridge Library another grant
to be used to finish the digitization of the microfilmed newspaper in the
library. The significance of this project is that many of the issues on the
microfilm were destroyed in the past by a fire. Without this project, that
history would have been lost as the microfilm deterioated. A specail
thanks to the Tocker Foundation for helping to preserve Texas history
through this project. We are grateful for their help with this project
during the past two years.
